Biography

Katie Markey is originally from Des Moines where she studied many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, acro, and pom. She is currently studying at the University of Iowa where she is majoring in dance and communications and getting a certificate in musical theater.

She just finished being a part of Dancers In Company a group with the University that travels around the state of Iowa performing works created by the faculty and guest artists. Miss Katie also has won many choreography awards with her pieces performed by the Waukee Dance Team, and assisted many wonderful artists with their work such as Kari Herman, Matthew Brekke, and Jane Comfort.
