At Iowa Ballet Academy we believe that every dancer has a unique story to tell through movement. Our dedicated instructors are committed to nurturing talent and fostering a love for dance in a supportive environment. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, our classes are designed to challenge and inspire you while ensuring that safety and technical precision remain at the forefront of your training. Our program is split up into 3 different divisions.
Childrens Division
These classes are for students from the age of 3 years to students in the 1st grade. These class focus on developing the fundamentals of class structure, etiquette, and technique, while still being fun and engaging.
Age 3-4
Age 4-5
Age 5-6 (Kindergarten)
Age 6-7 (1st Grade)
Pre-Professional Division
These classes are for students from 2nd grade and up, and are placed by ability. Placement in this level requires taking a free placement class. Each of the five levels progressively build our students to the point where they can move on to a professional career in dance, college dance teams, musical theater, or wherever their goals take them!
Open Division
Our Open Division allows our students a more open schedule, fitting the busy schedule many students have. Each of these classes is taught by the same high quality, knowledgeable, and caring instructors as our Pre-Professional Division.
