Biography
Dasha Waldemer started her dance career at the age of 2 where she trained at several dance schools in the Iowa area. The majority of her technical training took place at Iowa Ballet Academy.

Under Ami Yaro’s training at IBA, Dasha received high praises at competitive events. Most notably, Dasha was the recipient of YAGP’s Hope Award, Youth Grand Prix, and received 5th place in the top 12 at YAGP’s New York finals.

Following her competitive career, Dasha furthered her training and performed with Houston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Colorado Ballet. Through this variety of training, Dasha gained knowledge in Balanchine and Vaganova techniques, modern and contemporary dance, and developed a rich vocabulary in classical and contemporary choreographic work.

Currently, Dasha is Associate Director at BravO! National Dance and Talent Competition.

Dasha is thrilled to be an instructor at IBA’s summer program this year!
