Biography

Taylor has been an involved member of the dance world for 23 years.   Taylor trained at Iowa Ballet Academy under the instruction of Ami Yaro and has attended various master classes and summer intensives at Tulsa Ballet and Joffrey Texas and was a charter member of the Yaro Dance Company.  She has competed at dance competitions across the nation where she has won a number of honors and title positions.  During her time at Iowa State University, she studied under Janice Baker and Cynthia Adams in the Dance Minor program as well as a member of the Orchesis I modern company. She has also been a participating member of Iowa Dance Theatre. She has since served as a rehearsal director in the 2016 production of The Little Mermaid as well as a rehearsal director in the Nutcracker production.

She now co-coaches the Johnston Varsity Dance Team and has helped lead them to a number of awards and a state championship title.

Full time, Taylor is a Bachelor of Science prepared registered nurse at Blank Children’s Hospital working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Taylor is passionate about giving back to dance community that has given her so much and shaped her into the person she has become. She hopes to instill the same love for dance in her students.
